A Love That Will Go To Any Length

Sincerely Yours #159

A love that laughs with the found, but also cries over the lost. That’s what God’s love is all about, and it’s exactly what Jesus is teaching us in today’s reading about the ever-faithful heart of the Shepherd. Jesus spoke the assurance that those notoriously lost sheep so desperately needed to hear… sheep on both sides of the “religious” line. But He didn’t leave it at that.

Today’s Reading:

“Suppose you had one hundred sheep, and one of them strayed away and was lost in the wilderness, wouldn’t you leave the ninety-nine others to go and search for the lost one until you found it?” – Luke 15:4

And…

“When found, you can be sure you would put it across your shoulders, rejoicing, and when you got home call in your friends and neighbours, saying, ‘Celebrate with me! I’ve found my lost sheep!’ Count on it—there’s more joy in heaven over one sinner’s rescued life than over ninety-nine good people in no need of rescue.” – Luke 15:6-7 (The Message)
