When the heat is turned up and your life reaches the boiling point, just remember you don’t have to give in or give up. As things heat up around you, allow God’s peaceful Presence to flow through you.  And when you do, the remarkable will happen. We can look to John’s 16th chapter to see why moments of tribulation, trials, distress, and frustration can be given new perspective when we follow Jesus.

Today’s Reading

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” – John 16:33 (The Amplified Bible)
