Reacting Differently to God’s Presence

Have you ever noticed how the exact same stimulus can get different reactions from people? Like watching a movie for instance. When our kids were younger we annually watched the Christmas classic, It’s a Wonderful Life. It’s funny to think just how differently we react to the ending. The exact same thing can get such a variety of reactions from people. And exposure to God’s presence… is no different. But although we may react differently when exposed to God’s presence, perhaps the most important thing is that we are actually in His presence.  Something we’ll learn in our reading today.

Today’s Reading

“As [Saul] was nearing Damascus on this mission, a brilliant light from heaven suddenly beamed down upon him! He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting Me?’ ‘Who are you, Sir?’ Saul asked. And the voice replied, ‘I am Jesus, the One you are persecuting!’” Acts 9:3-5
