Titanic Offers An Important Lesson in Sacrificial Love

It was called the “Ship of Dreams,” but we all know the tragic end of Titanic. Whether you’ve seen a documentary or James Cameron’s epic film, one reported phrase often stands out: “Women, children, and unsaved into the lifeboats!” The famous proclamation was made by John Harper, a pastor who sacrificed himself for his family and fellow passengers. And we can easily connect this heroic account to the reading in our devotional today.
