Who Were the Pharisees and Sadducees?

The Pharisees and Sadducees were the two main parties that made up the Jewish ruling body called the Sanhedrin at the time of Jesus. The Sadducees held a majority and rejected supernatural stuff, while the Pharisees were more into the supernatural side of things and also rules; lots of rules.
