A preacher-pastor in the Dutch Reformed Church, George Washington Bethune can teach us a lot about God’s mysterious ways. Hoping to restore his health, Bethune had travelled to Florence, Italy, but had agreed to give a Sunday message at a local church. At the end of the sermon, Bethune suddenly collapsed and died. Found in his pocket, however, was a hymn he had written the day before; a remarkable final Hug From Heaven with God’s perfect timing.
