Christian History: Horatio Spafford (Part 1)

Horatio Spafford and his Norwegian wife Anna were well known in 1860s Chicago. Today, Horatio is perhaps best known for penning the Christian hymn “It Is Well With My Soul,” following a family tragedy in which his four daughters died aboard the S.S. Ville du Havre on a transatlantic voyage. In this episode of Hugs From Heaven, the first of a two-part Christian History series, hear how their “sacrifice of praise” became the basis for inspired words.
