He’s at every game, has access to the most intimate details of players’ lives, and the impact of his work can last a lifetime. His name is Brent Kassian, but you can call him Chappy, as nicknamed by the players. He is the Eskimo team Chaplain and his “Why Me?” moments are on this podcast.

What we talk about:

  • Growing up in small-town Alberta
  • College and meeting Jesus
  • Working with A in A and the Eskimos
  • Does faith belong in sports
  • Life as a Chaplain
  • Dealing with those “Why Me?” moments

“It was player driven, the idea of having a Chaplain program. It started in the states but didn’t come to Canada till 1974… I consider this a privilege to have this in and around the sport.”
