Christian History: John Foxe

The author of Actes and Monuments (popularly known as Foxe’s Book of Martyrs), John Foxe, was an English historian and martyrologist. His book accounts Christian martyrs throughout Western history and, though it may not sound like a must read, was one of the most important publications during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.
