Christian History: Thomas Watson

In 1660, when the British monarchy was reinstated, a series of new laws stifled religious liberty. The Act of Uniformity required all ministers to use The Book of Common Prayer for worship services. Many non-Anglicans refused and were removed from their pulpits, including Thomas Watson of Cambridge.
