Remembrance at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial

In the summer of 1991, my husband and I visited Washington, D.C. One of our more notable stops was the Vietnam War Memorial, which was dedicated on November 13, 1982. It soon became one of the most visited memorials in the nation’s capital. Let’s take a moment to learn about “The Wall” and how it brought together both those who fought and those who marched against the war, helping to promote national healing a decade after the divisive conflict’s end.
